Scott and Lucy Merrilees, 33 years old, working in and around Buckinghamshire, have been in the fitness industry for over ten years. It’s how we met…

We have lived in and around Buckinghamshire for over 26 years. Scott lived in Chalfont St Peter, Lucy lived in Pinner. We now live together in Amersham. We have a young son who was born in 2012, and a daughter who was born in 2015.

Scott has always been a keen sportsman. He focused his youth on competitive road cycling, competing in some of the biggest UK road races. Scott wanted to pass onto others the training methods he taught myself in keeping fit at the highest possible level.

Scott has set himself the challenge of running the 2018 London Marathon. An experience that can only value his knowledge in how the body responds to regular exercise and training.

Scott became a recognised gym instructor in 2005 and a full time personal trainer in 2008. He began by working in local gyms to gain the valuable experience needed to train individuals in the gym environment. He soon realised though, that it was possible to get better results simply by focusing on the training that really mattered and utilising what time and space is available.

Scott has studied and continues to study many aspects of the health and fitness industry, he has certificates in personal training, gym instructing, circuit training, studio cycling, heart zone training, pre and post-natal training, advanced exercise instruction as well as nutrition and weight management amongst others.

Lucy trained full time at a well-known stage school, going onto dance professionally for a number of years, before moving into the fitness industry. She is qualified in & has taught hundreds of different group fitness classes, including Fitness Pilates, Zumba, Spin, HIIT training, Tabata training, Fitball, to name but a few.

Since we began instructing exercise over 11 years ago we continue to strive to become the best physical trainers we can be. We are always enhancing our knowledge in every aspect of the health and fitness industry. We continue to train ourselves to a high standard. Every person we meet who tries our classes will get the best advice and service we can offer.
